Learn how to use a bath toy scoop to organize bath toys, keep them dry, and make cleanup quick. Tips for tidy bathroom storage.
Quick Answer
Use a bath toy scoop to gather toys after bath time, then suction it to the wall to let toys dry and stay organized.
Why a Scoop Beats a Toy Bin
A bath toy scoop does double duty: it collects toys and stores them on the wall, so they drain and dry between baths. That cuts down on mildew and keeps the tub edge clear for bath time.
The main trade-off is wall space. Make sure the suction cups have a smooth, clean tile or acrylic surface to grip. Textured or grouted walls may not hold the scoop securely.
Steps to Tidy the Tub with a Bath Toy Scoop
- Gather the toys: After draining the tub, use the scoop to sweep all bath toys into one spot, just like you would with a dustpan. Check that you haven't left any toys under the water line.
- Shake off excess water: Give the scoop a gentle shake over the tub so toys aren't dripping water all over the floor when you move it. Shake over the tub, not the bathmat, to avoid a wet mess.
- Suction the scoop to the wall: Press the scoop firmly against a smooth, clean tile or acrylic wall, high enough that little hands can't reach the toys. If the suction cups don't hold, wipe the wall with a dry cloth and try again.
- Let toys dry completely: Leave the scoop on the wall until the toys are fully dry before storing them elsewhere or letting your child play with them next time. Check for trapped water in toys with holes; turn them upside down to drain.
